Cradled by a headland, Shelly Beach is the only west facing beach on the eastern coast of Australia, offering great views back to Manly Beach and providing the perfect environment for snorkeling, beach bbqs and simply relaxing.

It is located in Manly and forms part of Cabbage Tree Bay, a protected marine reserve which lies adjacent to North Head and Fairy Bower.

With a maximum depth of approximately 12 metres, Shelly Beach has become popular with scuba divers and snorkelers alike with a large variety of marine life which can viewed in relatively shallow water.

A bush walking track hugs the headland offering spectacular views of North Head and the Northern Beaches and a paved scenic walk between Shelly and Manly Beach is enjoyed by hundreds of thousands of locals and visitors each year.
