CSG Website Update!

The Coastal Safety Group website has had a refresh as part of the Smart Beaches project. This includes updated information about the project, the technology being used and the way privacy is managed that you can find here. We’ve also taken the opportunity to tidy up the whole site including the members area where you can now find coastal safety information and network with other Councils more easily than ever. If you are a Local Government employee interested in Coastal Safety please join us here

The Coastal Safety Conference, hosted by Randwick Council, is getting nearer (26-27 Oct). You can find out more about the conference in the members area conference page which will will also link you to the enventbrite page for tickets. Don’t miss out! On Day one we aim to improve collaboration among Lifeguard services with opportunities to be involved in development of an exemplar lifeguard position description and continued work on a lifeguard reporting data standard as well as presentations on research opportunities, technology and mental health support to first responders.

On day two we’ll put that collaboration into practice with a focus on out of area and rock rescue techniques and advanced trauma management followed by a surf-off hosted by Surfing NSW!

Tickects are $100 per day or $180 for both days
